Amazing white sauce! It has a bit of heat, but is just right!
Every meat and every side is amazing! I highly suggest the chicken sandwich and the greens! -

There is a hair on my pickle! Get your mind out of the gutter... the kind you eat. Um, I guess there isn't a way to say that without thinking otherwise.
If I had to sum up my experience here with one word it would be NASTY!!! That's right, I capitalized nasty and used three exclamation points. It was that gross.
I was visiting Nashville and was waiting in Centennial Park and decided to get lunch here. I got the pulled brisket plate with slaw and beans. I have this theory that you can tell how good a bbq place is by tasting the beans. These beans were a watery consistency with a peppery taste. I wouldn't put these in a baked bean category. It was more like a bean soup. I should have known what would follow. The slaw had no taste at all. The brisket was more like a pulled roast than anything. It also was tasteless. BBQ sauce was more of a vinegar taste and I wasn't a fan of that either. A big let down overall. At the end of my meal as I was going for my last pickle, that's when I found it. The black hair on my pickle. It almost touched my lips before I noticed it, and I think I threw up in my mouth a little after that. If you're in Centennial Park, go to McDonalds next door, you'll get a better meal there. -

This is a gem for a quick bite to eat of BBQ in the area. It is a really small building where you walk up to a window, place your order, and not long after it is served up fresh and delicious for you to devour.
We each enjoyed our food order. I do wish there was sauce in a more available and easy place to get to, as you have to go up and ask for a small container each time. But it was good nonetheless. The portions were fairly large and the flavor was good. I don't think it was write home to your mom special, although my mom was there with me when I ordered. It wouldn't stop me from giving it a try again if I was in the area but it isn't somewhere I would be jumping around or go out of my way to visit.
There is a bar next door, which I popped my head into and was unimpressed. It was not super clean or inviting for an outsider.. but it was there.
There is also a large park next door that had lots of activities going on. -

Smoking their q daily on site and they draw the crowds! We sampled the smoked turkey and were able to have each of the three sauces. They were all unique and had so much flavor. The sandwich was served on an onion poppyseed soft bun. The beans were delicious as well as their house made pickle with a little kick! There's no inside seating. It's window walk up ordering only. There are a few outside picnic tables and a beautiful park across the street!

I ordered Uber eats take out from this restaurant. I had the pound of spareribs in the barbecue beans. I think I am just not a fan of Tennessee style barbecue. The rub was okay but heavy on the cumin. This overpowered the taste of the meat. I also was able to try the mild and hot barbecue sauces. They were maybe a touch over sweetened. Overall I think this was an okay barbecue joint. I wish I had tried others in the Nashville area as well.
